Taking A Stand

Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
1 Corinthians 15:1

Taking a stand for God, is merely harder in this world as ever. So many things are confusing and there are many conflicting ideas that are present these days, but we need to go back and remember our simple faith in Jesus and his death, burial, and resurrection. We need to run from all the things that are taking over us, all the ideas and issues that often divide churches and separate our fellowships. Also, knowing that our hope, our salvation, and our foundation of our faith is found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The song "Jesus your my firm foundation" rang in my head, knowing that God is our foundation and that we build our lives on this firm, not unreliable foundation. That we can't be moved and we can't be shaken.
